It's Time for Spiritual Leaders to Get Educated in Mental Diseases

Pastors today can’t afford to remain oblivious to the very real world of mental illness.  Our seminaries still too often fail to adequately prepare their charges for the real world of pastoral leadership. It’s a tough assignment that involves a whole range of very real issues. Spiritual leaders need to see themselves as part of a holistic ministry that is much more complex than a narrow understanding of spirituality allows.
