When I lived in hot, dry, Austin Texas, I used to take pictures of pink flowering weeds growing out of the cracks in the cement walls of the highway overpasses. Scientists say that yeast is a one-celled organism that turns sugar into carbon dioxide. But to me there is something profoundly HOLY in the way yeasty dough will rise and rise again, even if you put it in the refrigerator.
