This Week's Program
Aging: Housing Changes
Many things change as we get older. For some, one of the most difficult aspects of aging is the loss of independence. After so many years of self-reliance, things such as favorite hobbies, vacations, and driving can be hard to give up. Having to move from your home into an assisted living residence or nursing home can be even harder. The Guengerich Family – Marjorie and Paul, and their adult children – speak about that transition from independence to assisted living on this week’s program.

Just Sayin'

Jesus said that everything we do to help others, it’s as though we are doing it for God. I wonder if we could reverse that: when we receive help from others, we’re accepting help from God; we’re acknowledging our reliance on him; we’re not fighting our dependence.

Favorite Family Recipes
Hot Tamale Pie
Program manager, Sheri Hartzler says, “I have made this recipe so many times I can barely read the ingredients off my card. It freezes well, and is great for a party when you want a main dish, but don't especially want sandwiches. I usually double the recipe, and put one dish in the freezer for the next party!”
